Simply knowing about estate planning won’t automatically bring in clients. If you’re still out there chasing prospects for estate planning deals, you’re missing the mark.

Imagine if a highly skilled dentist or lawyer sets up a roadshow or cold-calls, trying to convince strangers to sign up for their services. It would seem absurd, right? Patients and clients typically seek out dentists and lawyers because of their reputation, expertise, and the value they offer—not because they got prospected at random.

Similarly, financial consultants should position themselves as trusted experts rather than pushy salespeople. When you chase prospects, they often see you as just another pesky salesperson. This diminishes your perceived value and expertise.
